Step-by-step guide to safely connect your UBS account to a personal finance app in Switzerland. Learn about Open Banking, security, and what data is shared.

UBS is Switzerland's largest bank, and connecting it to a personal finance app gives you a complete view of your spending, savings, and investments. Here's how to do it safely.

Step 1 — Choose a Swiss-compatible finance app

Not every app supports Swiss banks. Finch is built for Switzerland and supports UBS via the official bLink open banking platform.

Step 2 — Authorize via bLink

Bank connections in Switzerland use bLink, the SIX-operated open banking platform. You'll be redirected to UBS, log in with your e-banking credentials, and explicitly approve read-only data sharing.

Step 3 — Review what's shared

  • Account balances
  • Transaction history
  • Investment positions (where applicable)

Finch can never initiate payments — connections are read-only by design.

Step 4 — Manage consent

You can revoke access at any time directly in UBS e-banking under "Open Banking → bLink consents", and also in Finch settings.

Security

All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256). Finch never stores your UBS credentials — only the bLink consent token.
